In short
We know the Kansas City metro area best — Johnson County and the Kansas side, and Jackson, Clay, Platte, Cass and Ray counties on the Missouri side. Our state pages explain how senior care is licensed, inspected and funded in each. If your family is somewhere else, call us anyway; we'll either help or point you to the free Eldercare Locator at 1-800-677-1116. Call (800) 614-8388.

The two state pages carry the facts that stay the same everywhere in that state — who licenses assisted living, where to read inspection records, which Medicaid program helps pay, and which veterans office has accredited representatives. The city pages add what's specific to that place.
Why the Kansas City area first
We're a Lenexa company, and this is the region we can serve with real local knowledge: the move managers and senior-focused agents who work here, the communities and their reputations, and the agencies — KanCare, the Johnson County Area Agency on Aging, Missouri's DHSS and the regional Area Agencies on Aging — whose rules and phone numbers we actually use. Starting where we're strong beats pretending to be everywhere.
If your family is somewhere else
You're not stuck. Families move for all kinds of reasons, and adult children often live in a different state from their parent. Call us and we'll tell you honestly whether we can connect you with a partner near your parent. If we can't, we'll point you to the resources that can: the Eldercare Locator at 1-800-677-1116 connects anyone to their local Area Agency on Aging anywhere in the country, and each state's licensing agency publishes the inspection records you'll want to read. Those two things — a local aging agency and a state inspection record — will get you a long way anywhere.
Not sure what's available near your parent?
Give us the ZIP code and we'll point you to the right local agency.
Questions about where we help
Do you only help in Kansas and Missouri?
No — those are the areas we know best, but we can connect families with partners in many other places. Call us and we'll tell you honestly whether we can help where your parent lives.
My parent is in another state and I'm here. Can you still help?
Yes. Tell us where your parent is; we'll look for help near them. And the Eldercare Locator (1-800-677-1116) can point you to the local agency in any state.
What if you can't help at all?
We'll say so and send you to the right place — usually the local Area Agency on Aging and your state's licensing agency. We'd rather point you well than pretend to cover an area we don't.
